Duct tape is not the same as medical tape, and afaik kt/trans tape are made of medical grade tape. It breathes more, it allows movement, and hurts the skin less. It's made of (probably) cotton fibers and glue, where's actual tape is a piece of plastic with a sticky side. Duct tape is to hold things for as long as they possibly can hold.

Du weißt ja selbst schon, dass Binder eigentlich die einzig vernünftige Methode sind um abzubinden. Dennoch möchte ich an dieser Stelle noch.
transtape and kt tape are the most recommended brands, but i'm not sure which to go with. transtape appears very similar to spartan tape which worries me, but it comes in skin tones and larger widths. kt tape tends to run small, and the larger sizes only come in black. has anyone tried both? does anyone have advice? 3 8 8 comments Best

They're basically the same. Only difference is Transtape comes in wider options so you can use less strips of the tape.

They're pretty much the same, except the width of the strips. And all the KT tape I could find was precut strips, so it was somewhat wasteful. For that reason, Transtape is definitely less expensive, especially if you get the wider rolls. You can cut it into exactly the size strips you need. Therefore transtape has been way more effective for me

I personally found KT tape to have an adhesive that worked better for me compared to trans tape (it was more sticky and less irritating). It was also less expensive because I could buy it locally and not pay currency exchange or international shipping.
Your success with KT tape and similar products will depend on everything from chest size to skin sensitivity. I also generally wear sports bras rather than binders and look relatively flat, and tape works for me, but it gets itchy and has left blisters on my skin before. It's not a thing I'd want to do every day.
